Bulgaria and Turkmenistan Will Cooperate in Information Technology, Postal and Electronic Communications

The Government of the Republic of Bulgaria has approved an Agreement with Turkmenistan on cooperation in the field of the information technology, postal and electronic communications.On the Bulgarian side, the document was signed by the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Rosen Zhelyazkov, in August 2019, during Prime Minister Boyko Borisov's visit to Turkmenistan, within the Fourth Session of the Intergovernmental Bulgarian-Turkmenistan Commission for Economic Cooperation.

 

The agreement regulates the cooperation between the two parties in the preparation of regulations, development policies, business relations support, as well as the support of applications and proposals within the specialized international organizations. The document focuses on the exchange of regulatory information, market principles and liberalization in the communications sector. The agreement provides for the possibility of signing contracts for direct cooperation between the telecommunications and postal operators of both parties.
